When studying your Bible, consider these questions:
• Do you agree with the text? Does anything trouble or confuse you?
• Who was this text written for and why?
• How do I feel after reading this text?
• Does this verse remind you of another verse in the Bible? If so, how are they similar or different?
• Read the verses before and after this text; does this change your initial understanding of the text?
• What details do you find important in the text (location, appearance, movement, dialogue)
• Where is God in this text and what is God’s will in these verses?
